Product Design Engineer - Lighting

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join the team at a leading lighting manufacturer in Mitcham. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in design engineering, with specific expertise in lighting design.

• Develop and expand the company's distinguished collection of antiques and modern reproductions with an emphasis on integrity and beauty.
• Design lighting and additional products for the company using SolidWorks.
• Participate actively in product development.
• Contribute to project management tasks.

• Proven experience in design engineering, ideally within the lighting industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Strong skills in creating high-quality technical drawings and CAD files for lighting and furniture.
• Comfortable with producing detailed drawings of components, assemblies, and exploded views based on original designs.
• Capable of working independently and proposing innovative engineering solutions for new product designs.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects related to new collection launches and bespoke projects.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, diverse materials, and installation techniques specific to the lighting sector.
• This position is perfect for a proactive professional who thrives on creativity and precision in design.

• Salary likely 35k-38k dependent on experience
• Full time position based in Mitcham
• 08:30-16:00 (Some flexibility when needed)
