EC&I Technician

Up to £54,000 (DOE) plus benefits

Mitcham, Surrey

 

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced EC&I Technician to join an established team within the Renewable Energy sector. As an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring electrical equipment and control systems are maintained to ensure smooth operation at their site based in Mitcham. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Calibrate and commission field instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, level)
  • Troubleshoot PLCs (Omron preferred), SCADA, and automation systems
  • Support plant shutdowns, upgrades, and emergency callouts
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

 

What We're Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
  • 17th/18th Edition certification (essential)
  • 4+ years' experience in EC&I roles in industrial, utilities, or process environments
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron), SCADA, and test equipment
