A SENCO is needed at a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London.

This SENCO role will be full time and permanent.

If appointed as a SENCO, your duties will include but not be limited to:

* Working alongside the existing SENCO & Assistant Principal for Learning Support* Ensuring the school is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice * Nurturing a culture of high aspirations for pupils with SEN * Maintaining provisions for SEND support * Tracking overall progress of every SEN pupil * Deploying staff and resources depending on the needs of each SEN student

The salary for this SENCO position will be between £56915 and £64361, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton.

It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff.

90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4.

The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities.

Ofsted have noted there is positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.

Requirements

You're encouraged to apply if you're an experience and qualified Teacher or experienced SENCO.

Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained SENCO or overseas trained SENCO.

* Right to work in the UK* Clear and up to date DBS* UK QTS or an overseas equivalent * Experience as a Teacher or SENCO in UK schools* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development relevant to a SENCO role or willingness to undertake the necessary training for it
