Are you a dedicated and resilient teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with SEMH and ASD needs? Randstad Education is recruiting for a nationally respected specialist provider of care and education for young people with complex learning needs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher who can contribute to a calm, safe, and stimulating environment while delivering a flexible and differentiated curriculum. You'll be joining a highly supportive team committed to educating the whole child.

?? About the Role

As a teacher, you will:

  • Work under the direction of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head (Education).

  • Deliver and review individualised learning programmes tailored to pupils' educational, emotional, and social development.

  • Maintain strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage positive behaviour and resilience.

  • Assess and report on pupil progress while supporting their emotional well-being.

  • Contribute to curriculum development, classroom management, and school improvement plans.

  • Collaborate with key staff, including Senior Leaders, Pastoral Team, and Teaching Assistants.

?? Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality lessons.

  • Support preparation for public examinations and contribute to curriculum reviews.

  • Promote positive behaviour and implement the school's Behaviour Management Policy.

  • Participate in safeguarding duties and follow school safeguarding procedures.

  • Complete reports and assessments in line with statutory requirements and internal policies.

?? Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Strong subject and Key Stage knowledge.

  • Ability to teach pupils with varied abilities and behavioural needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team-oriented and emotionally resilient.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching students with SEMH/ASD.

  • Specialist qualification in Special Education.

  • Experience working in residential or specialist settings.

  • Familiarity with EHCPs and Looked After Children (LAC) processes.
