Senior Air Quality Consultant

Location: Mold (hybrid)
Salary: 45,000-55,000 DOE

Bring your air quality expertise to a respected environmental consultancy with a thriving Chester office. We're seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to lead technically robust work, drive sustainable development outcomes, and help grow our presence across the North West and beyond.



The role

You'll own a varied portfolio-from planning assessments and dispersion modelling to regulatory compliance-partnering with developers, planners, and local authorities. This senior position blends hands-on delivery with client leadership, team mentoring, and targeted business development.



What you'll do

  • Lead and deliver complex air quality projects from scoping through to submission.

  • Undertake-and QA-detailed dispersion modelling (ADMS/AERMOD) and technical reviews.

  • Produce clear, defensible reports, ES chapters, and client presentations.

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.

  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues in the Chester team.

  • Contribute to proposals, fee estimates, and wider business development.



About you

  • 4+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or a regulatory environment.

  • Proficient with ADMS and AERMOD; strong knowledge of IAQM/EPUK guidance.

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field.

  • Chartered (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards professional accreditation (preferred).

  • Confident communicator with proven leadership and project management skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
