Senior Project Manager (Baggage Systems) - Aviation - Stansted
Location: Stansted Airport (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)
Duration: 6-month contract
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: 82.57 p/hour

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of baggage system works at Stansted Airport. Working within the Business As Usual (BAU) team, you will be responsible for managing key elements such as Hold Baggage Screening (HBS), Early Bag Storage (EBS), and Check-in injects across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver baggage elements of the Baggage Works programme, managing all project phases from design through to completion.
  • Lead project management activities related to baggage system design and delivery in a live, single terminal operation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met, maintaining quality, cost, and programme standards.
  • Understand and interrogate capacity modelling to ensure solutions meet future operational needs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, risk management, and security compliance throughout all phases.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in project management, ideally within aviation or related infrastructure environments.
  • NEC contract management experience is essential.
  • Strong background in baggage systems, process systems, or manufacturing-related projects highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a live airport environment.
  • Security Clearance (CTC) for airport operations is required.
