A group of nurturing specialist schools in Monmouth is seeking an energetic and dedicated Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 7–16 who experience Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role both in the classroom and during physical education sessions. You’ll work one-to-one, support small groups, and assist in whole-class settings, helping pupils to develop focus, self-esteem, and social skills through movement and active learning.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant who:

• Holds a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject

• Has a genuine interest in working with young people aged 7–16 with SEMH needs

• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting individual needs

• Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and resilience to every day in school life

• Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Is eager to learn and committed to their own professional development
