Primary Teaching Assistant - Monmouth

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development?
Academics is working closely with a number of primary schools in Monmouth and nearby areas to find enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide both 1:1 support and general classroom assistance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on children's education while gaining valuable experience across a range of schools and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support small groups of pupils to reinforce key learning objectives
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
- Contribute to classroom behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other school professionals
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children (in a school or childcare setting is desirable)
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Two relevant professional references
