Were looking for a skilled Production Planner on a permanent basis to join a leading wastewater treatment company, who are looking to expand their team due to recent growth. This is a brand-new role, offering an exciting opportunity to build a production planning process from the ground up. As aProduction Planner, youll be pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations, working closely with design, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Operations Director to develop and implement anend-to-end supply chain and production planning process.
  • Create, manage, and adjustshort and long-term production schedulesto meet customer demands.
  • Collaborate with design, sales, inventory, and workshop teams tostreamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor production progress,identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to maintain workflow.
  • Coordinate withsubcontractors and internal teamsto ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse production data, andgenerate reportsfor management.
  • Ensure all planning decisionscomply with health, safety, and quality standards.

Skills/Experience

  • Proven experiencein production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination withinmanufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
  • Strongorganisational and coordination skills ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter mentality this role requires building a process from scratch, so initiative and problem-solving are essential.
  • Proficiency inERP/MRP systems(e.g., Dynamics 365) andMicrosoft Excel.
  • Knowledge ofproject management principlesis beneficial.
  • Experience inwater treatment, construction, or environmental engineeringis a plus.
