A group of small, supportive ALN (Additional Learning Needs) schools in Monmouth is seeking a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils on an individual basis, helping them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning in a nurturing and understanding environment.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism through patience, creativity, and consistency. You will work independently as well as collaboratively, using tailored strategies to enhance each learner’s development and help them reach their personal and academic goals. Working alongside teachers and therapists, you’ll help pupils communicate, regulate emotions, and thrive both in and outside the classroom.

What we’re looking for

To thrive as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
• Have experience supporting children with Autism or other additional learning needs
• Be calm, empathetic, and patient in your approach
• Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team
• Be confident working independently to support and enhance learners’ development
• Show enthusiasm for learning and developing through training and hands-on experience
• Be reliable, flexible, and genuinely dedicated to the wellbeing and progress of pupils

• A competitive daily rate between £88.92 and £101.92, depending on experience and qualifications
