Do you want to play a pivotal role in helping an ambitious organisation more than double its impact over the next decade? If yes, look no further!

A respected, international Christian charity is seeking a Head of Finance to lead their finance function at a time of strategic growth and operational transformation. This is a critical, senior leadership role with wide-ranging impact and visibility across the organisation.

The key duties of this Head of Finance will be:

  • Leading the finance function, overseeing all budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts and audit processes
  • Acting as Company Secretary for both the main charity and its trading subsidiary
  • Supporting the CEO and board with strategic financial insight and board-level reporting
  • Providing oversight across data and customer service from a strategic and financial perspective
  • Managing a well-established team of four, providing guidance and support that will enable them to work to the best of their ability
  • Driving financial strategy to support a long term plan to grow income by more than 150%
  • Playing a key role in reviewing systems, and how finance integrates with other platforms
  • Supporting continued improvements in processes, controls, and automation across the function
  • Developing and embedding a new approach to budgeting based on agile, flexible funding principles

Finance is seen as a key strategic enabler, not a blocker. You'll be working alongside a CEO who is collaborative, trusting and values expertise - someone who will rely on you to guide financial decision-making but give you the freedom to lead in your own way. The team is high-performing and committed, with strong foundations already in place, and there’s significant opportunity to build on that and shape the next phase of development. This is a role where you’ll have real influence, work with purpose, and help steer a fast-evolving organisation toward greater impact.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant (or QBE with highly relevant experience)
  • Experienced in leading on audits, producing financial reports, and advising senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting at board level, including to financially sophisticated board members
  • Skilled at driving improvements and simplifying systems while supporting others through transition
  • Ideally experienced in the charity or not-for-profit sector, but strong commercial candidates also welcome

Please note that this role will officially be based out of the charity’s office in South West London, although opportunities to work from home are on offer for two days per week.
