Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?
We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary or secondary school in Merton.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, adaptable, and committed to making a real difference in a child's educational journey.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support in and out of the classroom
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning and care
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop social/emotional skills
  • Assisting with EHCP targets, behaviour plans, and progress tracking

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with diverse needs
  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE, Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) are a bonus but not essential
