Location: Morecambe, Lancashire

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only. September 2025 to July 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0845-1500

Salary: £14.20 per hour

Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Morecambe for the full academic year (2025/2026).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting children's education and development, particularly in Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will be providing general TA support in a Year 6 classroom, helping to prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning in maths and English
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Helping to prepare learning materials and resources
  • Providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of KS2 core subjects, particularly English and maths
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting pupil progress
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working with pupils and staff

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or similar) is essential. This role is ideal for teaching graduates looking to gain school-based experience or TAs seeking a new opportunity.
