EC&I Partners are looking for a skilled and motivated Approved Electrician to join our clients maintenance team in Heysham. Responsibilities:
- Maintain, test, and repair plant and equipment across the site.
- Carry out electrical inspections (including hazardous areas) to ensure safe and compliant operations.
- Undertake the duties of an Authorised Person Electrical AP (LV) to ensure that all electrical maintenance, system installations, testing and repairs are carried out efficiently and safely according to the current IEE regulations.
- Respond to both planned and unplanned maintenance needs.
- Support the operations team to reduce downtime and enhance performance.
- Participate in an on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours issues when needed.
What You'll Need
- Time-served apprenticeship (ECS/JIB registered)
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- At least 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience (ideally in chemical, incineration, or power generation environments)
- Full UK driving licence
- CompEx certification (desirable - training can be provided)
- City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 (Inspection & Testing - desirable)
- Experience with PLCs / process control systems
- IPAF or MEWP certification
