Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
Location: Morecambe
Orion is delighted to be working with an innovative engineering business in Morecambe. We’re on the lookout for a practical and hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced fitters or mechanically minded individuals (think car tinkering, DIY, or hands-on hobbies) looking to break into the engineering industry.

Installing ancillary equipment on a range of systems
Working with both hand-pump systems and 3-phase electrical installations
Carrying out basic soldering and wire assembly
Reading and working from wiring diagrams
Assisting with both the electrical and mechanical build of systems
Comfortable using a variety of hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.)
Ideally have your own tools (or take advantage of our staff loan scheme to get started)
A background in plumbing, mechanics, or electrical work is a real bonus
Experience with wiring and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams is highly advantageous
A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for building, fixing, and learning
