Job Title: School Bursar - Primary School (Morecambe)
Location: Morecambe, Lancashire
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full or Part Time
Veritas Education is currently seeking a School Bursar to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Morecambe. Hours can be suited to your availability, either full or part time, term-time only position, starting from January 2026 and will continue until around March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the school
- Manage budgets, invoices, and payroll in line with school policies
- Liaise with senior leadership and external agencies on financial matters
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Support administrative functions as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a school bursar or finance-related role desirable
- Desirable - Understanding of finance systems and procedures (SIMS).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
