We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a temporary position at a friendly and supportive primary school in Morecambe. This role offers a great opportunity for professional development and the possibility of extension depending on school requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of Year 5 students, in line with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Employ excellent behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and participate in continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
  • Manage classroom resources and maintain an organised and welcoming learning space.
  • Support the inclusion of children with SEND, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a primary school teacher, with specific experience in teaching Year 5 or KS2 preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Experience teaching children with SEND or SENDCO experience is advantageous.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
