Leader Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school based in Morpeth, Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs to access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and general administrative tasks.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated to supporting young learners.
  • Experienced working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential).
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn.

Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate) are desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience and a genuine passion for education.
