Lifestyle Care is a new company, which is part of the Malhotra Group; a family run business based in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant at Bluebell Manor.
The Senior Carer plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to Residents within the Care Home. This position involves taking on additional responsibilities, including supervising and guiding care staff, ensuring compliance with care plans, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The Senior Carer is an integral part of the care team, contributing to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of Residents.
Bluebell Manor is a purpose built Care Home located in Morpeth. It is within easy reach of local transport links.
Lifestyle Care are investing heavily into the Care Home environment and work will commence soon.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision of care.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members.
- Ensure Residents retain their dignity and individuality.
- Act as a role model for the other care staff
- Build up good relationships with the Residents; recognise and respond to residents' social and emotional needs
- To assist Residents to carry out their activities of daily living e.g., washing, dressing, eating, and bathing.
- Dispense medication and ensure correct recording of all relevant information relating to medication (after satisfactory completion of the Safe Handling of Medicines course).
- Complete, observe and review care planning needs for Residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident assessments, care plans, and daily observations as instructed and in line with the Companys policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with Residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns and providing updates on Resident progress.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience within the care industry at a Senior Carer level OR genuine interest in working in the care environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
Satisfactory DBS check.
Team player.
