People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client’s well-established transport team based in Motherwell.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay rates, consistent full-time work, and genuine career progression potential.

Shifts: 24-hour operation – Days and Nights available
Pay Rate: £16.15 – £18.80 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently

• Complete daily vehicle checks and all required documentation

• Load and deliver goods between designated locations

• Handle double-decker trailers when required

• Ensure all loads are secured in line with safety standards

• Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers

• Adhere to traffic laws, road safety standards, and company policies

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence

• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)

• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

• Strong understanding of road safety and compliance standards

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries

Training Provided

• Full onboarding and paid two-day site induction

• Ongoing driver support and professional development throughout your assignment
