Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established global brand who are at the forefront of technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral role in a company dedicated to the development of their product ranges and teams, whilst offering life-changing solutions on a global basis.
This role would suit an engineer with experience of developing complex systems in a highly regulated industry. This role would suit an engineer with experience working in medical or diagnostic industries and candidates from industries such as avionics, automotive or similar are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will work as part of a global team responsible for the mechanical development of existing products. You will be responsible for using SolidWorks to create and develop 3D designs suitable for plastic injection moulding/machined die-casting for high volume mass production.
The company have fantastic facilities on site to support building and testing on prototypes, including 3D printing machines and CNC machinery which you will work directly on as part of a global set up.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role:
• Mechanical development of diagnostic technology – product improvement, cost reduction etc.
• Using SolidWorks
• Creation of technical specifications, construction design up to verification and documentation
• Define and implementing interfaces to relevant areas such as electronics, operations, chemical tests etc.
• Operational and production testing
• Engineering analysis, including tolerances, FMEA, risk analysis etc.
• At least 50% on site work
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate:
• Mechanical development experience
• Experience in a highly regulated industry
