Project Manager – Civil Engineering (Permanent)
Location: West of Scotland

Our client, a well-established regional civil engineering contractor specialising in road surfacing and groundworks, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects across the West of Scotland.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take the lead across multiple sites, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while contributing to the company’s ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HSEQ Management: Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards throughout the duration of each project.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing clients and assist in developing new business opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Deliver projects within agreed budgets, promoting cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate on-site teams to achieve high levels of performance and project delivery.
  • Commercial Oversight: Oversee commercial aspects of each project to meet financial targets and objectives.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and produce regular progress reports as required.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements and technical specifications.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, with a solid background in road surfacing and groundworks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of all civil site operations.
  • Communication: Proactive and effective communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contracts: NEC experience is desirable; however, candidates must be able to demonstrate experience with complex contract management.
  • Licence: Full UK driving licence.
