What we are looking for:
A QC responsible for supporting site teams in maintaining appropriate policies, process checks, and controls across the business to consistently uphold food safety, legality, quality, and authenticity standards. This role ensures customer requirements and standards are met by delivering an effective and efficient quality control service.
The Position
- Undertake quality and label checks in various areas of the business, record findings and highlight any discrepancies to relevant managers
- Ensure accurate checking of codes/dates/promotional labels etc., on the Greenlight Checks
- Conduct process and hygiene inspections and checks across the site to ensure that the company policies, procedures and standards are being maintained
- Ensure any product or process test fails are thoroughly investigated with robust root cause investigation and implement corrective actions
- Carry out various internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Take reference photos to aid in traceability and prove/support with the legal compliance
- Inspect the quality of finished product and raw material against relevant specifications
- Communicate quality or processing issues with internal depts. and ensure action is taken promptly
- Work together with the team to implement corrective action to improve the quality of the product to within specification and make sure the product traceability is being followed
The perfect candidate should have
- Previous QC experience within the food industry (preferable)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Be thorough and have good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of team and able to follow instructions
