We are recruiting on behalf of a client based near Much Wenlock, Shropshire for a Production / Maintenance operative to assist the the production manager with general maintenance and repairs to filling lines to optimise production. The operative would be responsible for filling, packing and out loading of palletised products. Suitable candidates must hold a valid CB FLT licence and have previous experience.

Main responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing the daily production activity to ensure that customer delivery requirements and minimum stock levels are met.

Operation and maintenance of the machines.

Assist in change- over of product, labels, batch codes

Operation of batch coding machine to ensure all product is coded appropriately.

Learning the machines; their operation, basic maintenance and ensuring regular wash downs are carried out.

Ensuring that all finished product and raw materials are stored appropriately.

Operate a counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.

Assist with training and developing the filling team.

Ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times.

Proposing improvements to optimise efficiency.

Ensuring that all records are kept to ensure compliance with ISO22241 and any other required quality assurance or other standard.

Adhere to all health and safety requirements.

Monday Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm. Temp to perm.
