About the role:
As the Sewing Machinist you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process. You will be involved in the precise production of automotive upholstery, tailored to original specifications. Your responsibilities will include operating industrial sewing machines, working with various materials such as leather and vinyl to ensure precision and quality in every piece you produce. The client’s commitment to craftsmanship means you will be supported by an experienced team. Working hours are 07:00 - 17:23, Monday to Thursday and flexible hours and home working can be considered if required.
Responsibilities include:
- Following specifications to accurately sewing together automotive upholstery in vinyl and leather.
- Using different industrial sewing machinery and stitch types, apply finishing techniques such as hemming & binding
- To gain thorough product knowledge through on-site training.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
About you:
You will have prior experience as a Sewing Machinist, in apparel, upholstery, or car trimming industry. Familiarity with industrial sewing machines is preferred, and experience with domestic sewing machines will be advantageous. Full training is available for candidates eager to learn, especially those who can demonstrate the necessary dexterity, a positive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail.Â
