Role Overview

As a General Operator / Machinist, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our manufacturing floor. Working with manual and/or CNC machines, you’ll ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor a variety of engineering machinery (manual and/or CNC).
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up machines and adjust settings for optimal performance.
  • Conduct basic quality checks using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., verniers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and report faults.
  • Adhere to all health & safety procedures and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and fellow operators to meet production targets and deadlines.

About You

Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions
Confident in using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Flexible and able to work shifts if required
