We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector with hands-on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and measuring components and finished products to ensure they meet the specified quality standards. You will utilize CMM equipment, visual inspection methods, and a variety of precision measurement tools to verify the quality and accuracy of parts, components, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections of products and components using CMM machines.
  • Set up and operate CMM equipment to measure complex parts in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Interpret and analyse measurement data from CMM reports to ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other hand tools to verify part dimensions.
  • Develop and maintain inspection programs for the CMM, ensuring that software and measurement techniques are up-to-date.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain inspection records and reports in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Identify, report, and assist with the resolution of quality issues or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production teams and engineers to provide feedback and assist in resolving quality concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency.
  • Participate in audits, quality system reviews, and customer quality inspections as required.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector with hands-on CMM experience (at least 2-3 years).
  • Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and quality control processes.
  • Proficient in operating and programming CMM machines.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm.
