Our client is a leading insurance provider specializing in property and casualty coverage. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Loss Adjuster to join our team in the South East region. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong background in insurance claims, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations to assess the extent of loss or damage to insured properties.
- Evaluate insurance claims and determine coverage eligibility based on policy terms and conditions.
- Interview policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence regarding the loss or damage.
- Analyze and review documentation, including police reports, repair estimates, and medical records, to determine the cause and extent of the loss.
- Collaborate with external experts, such as forensic specialists and engineers, to obtain professional opinions and advice.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, assessments, and recommendations for claim settlements.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders, ensuring fair and accurate compensation based on the policy coverage.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices related to loss adjusting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all claim activities and communications.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as insurance, risk management, or business administration.
- Previous experience as a Loss Adjuster or a similar role within the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage terms, and claims procedures.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and make accurate judgments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the South East region as required.
