Yolk Recruitment are supporting a well-established South Wales manufacturer as they continue to expand and strengthen their position as a leading producer of high-quality, sustainable modular and mobile products used across the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The business has built an excellent reputation for innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility. Continually developing its range to meet growing demand for eco-efficient, low-emission, and energy-saving solutions. With further investment in facilities and ongoing product development, they are now seeking a proactive and hands-on HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities across the site.
This is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to shape HSE strategy, improve systems, and promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout a busy manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of all Health, Safety and Environmental compliance on site, ensuring adherence to UK legislation and company standards.
- Maintain and develop HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring findings are communicated and acted upon.
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, training, toolbox talks, and coaching.
- Lead accident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Manage environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and carbon management projects.
- Support internal and external audits, liaising with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and present regular HSE and quality performance reports to the senior management team.
- Drive continuous improvement across Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards through collaboration and innovation.
