As a Trainee Estimator, you will play an essential role in interpreting customer requirements and turning them into professional, tailored solutions. Through excellent communication and attention to detail, you’ll provide quotations and 2D AutoCAD drawings that meet budget, specification, and aesthetic needs therefore ensuring customer satisfaction and return business.
The role
- Learning to produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings to support customer quotations
- Handling and responding to customer enquiries
- Producing clear, detailed, and competitive quotations
- Following up quotations to nurture client relationships
- Gathering detailed information from customers to provide the right solution
- Using a CRM system to manage customer data and sales activity
- Collaborating with internal teams
- Supporting sales growth through increased quotation volumes and improved conversion rates
- Maintaining organised records and paperwork
The person
- A strong desire to progress within a customer facing technical role
- The ability to develop technical knowledge and learn AutoCAD 2D
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude with attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers and colleagues
- Motivation to deliver quality, compliant solutions in line with industry standards
