Needham Market
A building and construction client of ours in the Needham Market area are recruiting an Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and paying 35,000 - 45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop precise and competitive quotes using technical drawings and specifications
- Analyse engineering diagrams to produce customised project cost estimates
- Obtain and manage supplier pricing, ensuring databases are regularly updated
- Stay well-informed about manufacturing methods and installation requirements
- Oversee the complete sales process, from initial enquiry to order confirmation
- Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Assist in procurement to support the creation of accurate, cost-efficient estimates
- Build strong relationships with existing clients while seeking out new opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and stay commercially aware of upcoming opportunities
- Attend client meetings to review requirements and present proposals
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Estimator position:
- Experience in estimating or technical sales within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and the ability to translate them into detailed quotes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Barbour ABI or similar platforms is a plus.
