We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Pendle. This role focuses on supporting Key Stage 1 pupils, providing both educational and emotional support to enhance their learning experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in preparing and setting up resources for activities in accordance with lesson plans.
- Provide support to individual students and small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
- Work closely with the teacher to monitor the progress of pupils and provide feedback.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in school meetings and training sessions.
- Support the teacher in managing class activities and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs and welfare of young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and professional demeanour.
