Location: Projects based in Ayrshire and Dumfries, with travel throughout Scotland as required.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
We are keen to hear from ambitious and motivated General Forepersons who are passionate about contributing to renewable energy projects and eager to develop their careers within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Contractor specialising in renewables, infrastructure, and flood protection schemes, is currently seeking a dedicated General Foreperson to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects in Ayrshire and Dumfries, with scope to support wider developments across Scotland.
Role Highlights
As the General Foreperson, you will take a proactive role in managing site operations, collaborating closely with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery. This position is ideal for someone passionate about renewable energy projects, keen to contribute fresh ideas to a forward-thinking team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in overseeing operational activities on-site
- A positive outlook towards learning, teamwork, and contributing to collective success
- Familiarity with maintaining site diaries and enforcing health and safety compliance
- Previous experience with civil engineering contractors, ideally within renewable energy projects
- Pervious experience on ducting and cabling is highly desired
- A proven ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively
- Willingness to travel in line with business needs
