Friday: 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM (38 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: 14.99 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Truck Instructor to oversee and deliver high-quality theory and practical training on all company trucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all truck operators are trained, monitored, and assessed to meet legal standards, health & safety requirements, and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Instruction:
Deliver theory and practical training for all company truck types: A1, A2, A5, A6, A7, B1, D2 & P1.
Conduct initial training and refresher courses for all relevant employees.
Ensure training is up to date and aligned with current legislation and best practices.
Audit and monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
Work closely with the Training Department to uphold training standards.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations, particularly in relation to truck operation and training.
Regularly review and update company truck training documentation.
Monitor and assess trained operators to ensure safe and competent operation.
Ensure all truck pre-use checks are being completed and documented correctly.
Support site safety initiatives and monitor compliance with Health & Safety policies.
Regularly consult the Mentor website and other relevant sources for H&S updates affecting truck training.
Maintenance & Oversight:
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of training equipment and trucks.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
Requirements:
Must be a registered AITT and RTITB Instructor.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Flexibility with working hours - some night shifts will be required.
Ability to train across multiple shifts, including nights, when necessary.
