Collide Technical is working in partnership with local Engineering clients. 

About the Role

Our client, based in New Milton, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager/Engineer to lead quality assurance and governance across their precision engineering operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving improvements to quality systems and processes, ensuring compliance with current standards.

This role could also suit a Quality Engineer wanting to take their next step into management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits.
  • Manage non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and champion continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the production of First Article Inspection Reports and support First Article Inspections.
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Ensure process control, documentation, and traceability through the company’s MRP system.
  • Work closely with teams in machining, inspection, finishing, assembly, and dispatch to uphold quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality across the organisation, providing training and guidance where required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with AS9100 (preferably Revision D).
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong background in CNC precision engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in leading quality audits and compliance checks.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective action planning (CAPA), and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
