Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational art lessons across various mediums and techniques.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression among students while teaching skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art forms.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their artistic growth.
- Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
- Organize and manage art supplies and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to organize exhibitions and art shows that showcase students' work.
- Participate in departmental meetings and school training sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of art history and various artistic techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic talents.
