We're working in partnership with a highly regarded independent SEN school based in Newark, which caters to students aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related needs. This nurturing school setting is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant who is ready to make a real difference in students' lives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Offering 1-1 and small group support tailored to specific learning needs.
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging, structured lessons and activities.
  • Supporting the emotional wellbeing and social development of students.
  • Promoting positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom.
  • Encouraging independence and teaching practical life skills through daily routines.
  • Helping to track progress and keep detailed records of student development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
