We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEND school. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex learning or behavioural challenges. The hours for this role are 08:30-16:00 Monday to Friday. 

Please note, you MUST be able to commute to Newark and ideally have a car due to the rural location of the School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in 1:1 or small group settings, tailoring learning approaches to individual needs.

  • Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.

  • Support classroom learning activities and adapt resources as needed.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a school or educational setting.

  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and individualized support.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, restorative approach.
