Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24)
Pay: 90 - 105 per day
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 3:30pm (term time only)
Contract: Long term to Permanent

Long Term Futures are working with a well-established and nurturing independent SEN school in Newark (NG24) that supports students aged 5-19 with autism and related learning needs. The school is now looking for 2 compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistants to join their team with one to start as soon as possible, and another to start in September 2025.
A Day in The Position:
- Providing 1-1 or small group support tailored to individual students
- Assisting with engaging, structured learning activities and adapting materials where needed
- Supporting students' emotional, social and mental wellbeing
- Helping implement positive behaviour strategies both in and out of the classroom
- Encouraging pupils to develop independence, communication and life skills
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to ensure consistent support
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: Experience working with children or young people with SEN (ASD support experience is highly valued)
- A patient, calm and flexible approach to supporting behaviour and learning
- A team player who can build strong relationships with both students and staff
