Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a large and growing logistics company based in Newark who are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing efficient transport plans that optimise logistics operations and enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership abilities, and proficiency in various IT applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Duties

  • Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements and customer needs.
  • Manage logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimising costs.
  • Coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth transport processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Utilise Excel for data analysis and reporting to improve transport efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities and performance metrics.
  • Lead a team of transport coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to transportation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a logistics or transport planning role is desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • IT-savvy with the capability to adapt to new software systems as required.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Salary - 35k-40k dependant on experience
