We are looking for a Skilled Welder for a permanent based with our client in Newark.

Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is 18.28 per hour - First 39 hours Monday to Friday, overtime paid at time and a half after 8 hours and double time paid after 12 hours.

Main Duties:
Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting directly to the Welder Supervisor or their nominee, to always set the highest possible professional standards, specifically regarding safety, quality and productivity.
  • To carry out the duties as directed by the Welding Supervisor.
  • To carry out mobile welding and fabrication jobs.
  • To undertake general welding and manufacturing duties to a high standard using Welding techniques such as STICK, MIG & TIG.
  • To undertake Burning and grinding activities.
  • To work with a wide range of materials and plant.
  • Maintaining an adequate stock of welding parts by liaising with the welding supervisor and stores.
  • To further knowledge and skills regarding plant and drilling equipment.
  • To ensure that all operations are carried out safely and in accordance with the ruling Company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, Integrated Management System and method statements.
  • Checking equipment before its used and keeping it well maintained.
  • To be familiar with the Works Package Plan as briefed on each project.
  • To work as part of a team.
  • To communicate effectively with others and always represent the company professionally.
  • To always strive for high quality work.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in welding techniques (Stick, Tig & Mig)
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication
  • NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
