Role: Financial Controller
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £50,000 to £54,000 + 12% annual performance bonus
Hybrid: On-site 3 days a week with flexibility
Location: Nottinghamshire
Sellick Partnership is partnering with a private sector to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This is a key leadership role supporting the Head of Finance & IT in ensuring the smooth financial, procurement, and IT operations, which operates one of the UK's most reliable public transport systems.
The Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will be;
- Overseeing the month-end process and monthly forecasting.
- Preparing annual budgets and 5-year plans (GPS).
- Managing cash flow forecasting and Keolis group reporting.
- Producing statutory accounts and overseeing the annual audit.
- Maintaining and developing robust financial controls.
- Ensuring compliance with local financial laws and regulations.
- Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis and reviewing internal processes.
- Supporting procurement processes and managing insurance claims.
- Assisting in IT management and performance measurement calculations.
- Deputising for the Head of Finance & IT when required.
- Supporting, developing, and leading a small finance team with two direct reports.
The Ideal candidate for the Financial Controller will have;
- Full qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent.
- Strong technical finance skills and sound management experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach.
- Strong Excel capabilities and an interest in IT.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Confidence in managing multiple priorities and working independently.
