Job Title: Principal Architect / DirectorLocation: East Midlands, NottinghamshireHours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Full time, permanent. On-site.

Our client, a well-established, sustainability-driven architecture practice, is seeking an ambitious and experienced Principal Architect to help lead and drive the growth across the Architectural Practice. In this role, you'll manage client relationships, promote best practices, and oversee the successful delivery of projects. You'll collaborate with the Design Manager and team to drive operational efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery, collaborating with the design team and management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and assess project feasibility
  • Mentor and develop the design team
  • Ensure design excellence, risk management, and financial performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and sustainable design practices
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and risk protocols

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Part 3 qualification in Architecture
  • 6+ years of experience as a Senior/Principal Architect
  • Expertise in all RIBA stages (1-7)
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and related software
  • Strong knowledge of UK Planning & Building Regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience in sustainable design and client-facing roles
  • Excellent at managing multiple projects
