Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school on the outskirts of Nottingham to recruit passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants for a September 2025 start.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Conditions, in a nurturing and structured environment that prioritises personal development and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual emotional and behavioural needs

  • Assist in the delivery of targeted interventions and therapeutic activities

  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams to create a safe and supportive setting

  • Help students develop self-regulation, confidence, and positive learning behaviours

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs

  • A calm, consistent, and non-judgmental approach to behaviour management

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable young people
