Senior Buyer ProcurementNottingham SF Recruitment are partnering with manufacturing business in Nottingham to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their procurement team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this is a key role focused on driving cost-efficiency, improving supplier performance, and delivering strategic sourcing initiatives. You'll be responsible for leading procurement projects, negotiating supplier agreements, and supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain. The role offers excellent scope for ownership, progression, and contribution to business-critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities -Manage the end-to-end procurement process including RFQs, PO creation, and supplier agreements -Lead supplier negotiations to secure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes -Conduct supplier performance reviews and on-site visits with regular reporting to management -Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company goals -Drive cost-saving initiatives and support key KPIs -Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure materials availability and capacity planning -Monitor contract compliance, mitigate risks, and support supplier audits -Champion continuous improvement across the procurement function What We're Looking For -Proven experience in procurement or purchasing -Manufacturing or engineering industry background (preferred) -Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills -Confident in using MRP/ERP systems and Excel -Organised, proactive, and commercially minded -Excellent communication and stakeholder management If you feel you have the relevant experience and would like further information on this role, please apply today.
