Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client from within the construction industry who are actively recruiting for aAssistant Quantity Surveyoron a full-time, permanent basis to join their team.

Working under the direction of the Department Director, with mentoring from the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will integrate fully with the existing Quantity Surveying team to support and protect the commercial interests of our client.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as aAssistant Quantity Surveyorwill include:

  • Assist with contract set up/summary sheets
  • Ensure robust commercial handovers with the operations team
  • Place any Sub-Contract Orders in a timely manner
  • Assist in the submission of valuations in accordance with contractual submission dates
  • Liaise with Accounts regarding cash receipts and maintain the 'Operations' database and 'Disputes' register
THE CANDIDATE

The idealAssistant Quantity Surveyorwill be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying (Ideally 2:2 or above) or BSc in Commercial Management (Ideally 2:2 or above)
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Understanding of health and safety
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Proactive, positive, and flexible
