Are you a passionate and experienced chef looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic Chef Manager to lead our catering operations at a thriving college in Basingstoke.



About the Role:

As Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our college catering services, ensuring high-quality food production, menu planning, and excellent customer service. You will manage a dedicated kitchen team, maintain food safety standards, and drive creativity in menu offerings to provide nutritious and appealing meals for students and staff.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver outstanding food and service.
  • Develop seasonal and nutritious menus in line with dietary requirements and budgetary considerations.
  • Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Foster a positive and efficient working environment within the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with college staff to create engaging dining experiences for students.


What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef, preferably within an education or contract catering environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
