My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil, Structural and Transport Engineering, is searching for an Associate to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage specialists based in Newbury.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline and have achieved or are close to achieving Chartered status. You will be required to have vast experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, Hydraulic Modelling, Drainage Strategies and detailed Drainage Designs using Microdrainage for Residential Projects.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing/checking EIA Chapters and developing new opportunities with existing and new Clients.

This exciting role will offer you the chance to join a team of experienced Engineers to manage projects, mentor staff and complete/check Flood Risk, Surface Water, Hydraulic Modelling and Drainage Projects for Residential and Commercial Development Projects for Land Promoters, Private Sector Clients, Housing Developments and Local Authorities.

Applicants will also be required to complete and check the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3 for planning applications.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.

-Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design for Residential and Commercial Projects using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

-Check technical modelling project work.

-Project Management and team management.

-Team Mentoring and training.

-Bid Proposals and Tenders.

-Develop new business with new and existing Clients at networking events.
