Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional from a recycling, waste, or industrial background looking to take the next step in your career at a market-leading company committed to sustainability and continual growth?


This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role within a pioneering recycling business. You'll be responsible for driving health, safety and environmental compliance across all operational sites, with genuine autonomy and long-term development opportunities within a supportive, family-run environment.


This well-established organisation is one of the UK's leading providers of responsible recycling and asset recovery solutions. Working with major utility companies, local authorities and nationwide businesses, they are recognised for their technical expertise, investment in innovation and long-term commitment to environmental excellence.


In this hands-on role, you will lead the company's HSE strategy, ensuring compliance with all UK legislation and industry standards. You'll carry out risk assessments, audits and safety inspections, create and maintain method statements and safe systems of work, and train staff at all levels to promote a positive safety culture. You'll also liaise with external bodies and regulators to maintain full compliance and drive continuous improvement across operations.


This position would suit an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a strong background in recycling, waste management or industrial environments, who is looking to make a tangible impact within a forward-thinking and growing company.


The Role:

  • Lead and manage health, safety and environmental compliance across multiple sites
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits and investigations
  • Develop and implement method statements and safe systems of work
  • Deliver staff training and promote a safety-first culture
  • Liaise with external regulators and drive continuous improvement


The Person:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (Diploma or equivalent preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Health & Safety Management role within a technical or industrial setting
  • Knowledge of WEEE regulations, RIDDOR, PUWER and COSHH
  • Strong communicator able to engage staff at all levels
  • Commutable to Newbury
