Logistics Operations Process Expert

  • Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm , temp to perm contract
  • Salary: £17.58 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Process Expert to coordinate activities that enhance their logistics operations process operating model, focusing on Safety, Quality, and Compliance. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal inventory management across multiple systems. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise in warehouse logistics, human tissue regulatory compliance activities, and business process improvement.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Human Tissue Operations & Regulatory Compliance:
    • Act as the Designated Individual Delegate (DID) for our Human Tissue facility, ensuring compliance with HTA regulations.
    • Oversee all aspects of the human tissue operation, maintaining regulatory adherence and operational excellence.
    • Provide guidance on tissue-related logistics, establishing best practices and compliance standards.
  • Warehouse Operations & Systems Management:
    • Address complex issues through root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
    • Serve as an ERP system superuser, driving system-related changes and supporting testing of new initiatives.
  • Process Improvement/Business Process Operating Model:
    • Develop and refine SOPs, work instructions, and training plans to optimize logistics operations’ quality and compliance.
    • Identify and implement lean process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational waste.
    • Coordinate logistics operations inventory compliance activities, ensuring accurate stock management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in College or University preferred.
  • Professional working proficiency in English communication.
  • Proven experience within a team and working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of operations management processes and general logistics.
  • Experience in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Desirable: Experience with ERP systems, Lean Improvement processes, and quality inspection in a manufacturing/logistics environment.
